Job Description:

Allianz General Insurance Ghana LTD is seeking a dynamic Head of Internal Audit who will lead the company’s audit function, adding value by strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing risk management. This role supports improved governance, operational efficiency, and organizational integrity through strategic audits and continuous process reviews. This position reports to the Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and oversee the annual internal audit plan, detailing audit objectives, schedules, resource needs, and audit frequency based on risk assessment.
2. Evaluate and review the effectiveness, adequacy, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.
3. Compile and present detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, the Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
2. Professional certification in ACCA/CA/CIMA.
3. At least 8 years’ experience in audit, risk, and compliance at a managerial level in the financial services environment.
