Job Description:
AlevaChildcare is seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Head Teacher to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will design and implement engaging learning activities, provide caregiving services, and oversee the daily operations of the preschool. This role also involves training and supervising child care assistants while ensuring that teaching standards and safety regulations are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging and stimulating teaching activities.
  • Create and utilize suitable teaching materials for children.
  • Provide caregiving services, including feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and administering medication.
  • Use diverse teaching methods such as storytelling, art, and play to enhance children’s abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate children’s engagement and development to ensure they are on the right learning track.
  • Observe children’s interactions, identify behavioral patterns, and recommend appropriate interventions if necessary.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate child care assistants while resolving staff or parent complaints.
  • Adhere to teaching standards and enforce safety regulations in the facility.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a Child Care Practitioner.
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience with Montessori materials and techniques.
  • First aid certification is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development and modern educational methods.
  • Methodical, creative, and eager to learn.
  • Passion for working with children, demonstrated through patience, flexibility, and love for caregiving.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
