Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in the mining operations. This role involves ensuring equipment efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and minimizing downtime due to electrical faults.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, install, and maintain electrical systems for mining operations.
2. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
3. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and mining regulations.
4. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
5. Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize operational disruptions.
6. Work closely with other engineers and technicians to optimize system performance.
7. Maintain detailed reports on electrical system performance and incidents.
8. Train and guide on-site personnel on electrical safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and automation.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
