Job Description:
Rock City Hotel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts & Administrative Officer to support the Finance Manager and team in maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The role includes managing accounts payable/receivable, processing payments, and overseeing procurement and logistical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
- Process payments for suppliers, staff, and other service providers, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
- Review and validate payment supporting documents, including tax invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
- Consolidate cash requirements for approvals and handle staff claims processing.
- Ensure the proper functioning of office operations, procurement systems, and logistical operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Assist in general administration and other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A first degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in the field.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
- ACCA/ICA membership or completion of part of the program is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
