Job Description:
The School Nurse is responsible for promoting the health and wellness of students and staff by providing medical care, health education, and support in accordance with school policies and local regulations. The role includes assessing and treating minor injuries and illnesses, maintaining health records, and fostering a safe school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff during school hours
2. Maintain up-to-date health records and documentation for all students
3. Monitor and manage cases of infectious diseases and notify appropriate authorities when needed
4. Educate students and staff on healthy habits, hygiene, and basic health practices
5. Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students with ongoing medical needs

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid license to practice in Ghana
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
5. Training in first aid, CPR, and emergency preparedness is essential
